COMPETITION RULES & FAQ'S

REVESBY 5ASIDE FOOTBALL COMPETITION RULES

OUR AIM IS TO PROVIDE A FUN AND SAFE GAME WITH A FRIENDLY COMPETITION ENVIRONMENT.
WE HAVE MADE A FEW MODIFICATIONS TO THE NORMAL RULES OF FOOTBALL. THE REFEREE WILL TRY TO MAKE THE GAME FLOW AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE BUT THEY NEED THE PLAYERS ASSISTANCE AND PARTICIPATION TO CONTRIBUTE TO THIS OUTCOME.

  • No slide tackles.

  • All free kicks are direct, and the distance from the ball by the opposition player is not to be less than five meters.

  • When the keeper puts the ball in play or on the occasion of a goal kick the ball in play must not go past the halfway line in full; a free kick will be awarded to the opposing team.

  • A red card offence will automatically result in a one game minimum suspension. A judiciary will be held on the same night of the offence. Decisions are final and can not be disputed.

  • Any player that is involved in any physical altercation is immediately exited from the venue and will be unable to return for the remainder of the competition. The player will be unable to participate in one tournament after the incident.

  • If a ball is kicked over the netting the opposing team will receive the ball from the sideline.

  • If a team is running late, then will concede one goal every two minutes from the kick-off time.

  • If a team is not wearing matching team jerseys they will be ineligible to win points for that game.

  • If a team registration fee remains unpaid in part or full by round two, the team will be ineligible to win points for that game.

  • Only players, junior team coaches, referees and staff are allowed on the pitches during games.
